| | About Willow Lane Furniture |
In the early 80's Lane McClelland read an article in the "Mother Earth News" magazine about making willow furniture and he was inspired. He leased an old dairy barn on 200 acres of mostly willow near the Mexican border in San Diego county and started making willow furniture and began carving out the unique lifestyle he continues today with his wife, Laurie, near Warner Springs, California. Lane’s willow furniture is known for it's comfort and quality craftsmanship... ..there is none better. He has been featured on PBS’s “Modern Master “ series and he was chosen by "Polo Ralph Lauren" to create furniture to help launch a new line of bedding and can be seen in their showroom in New York City and in their printed advertisements. His specialty is log beds and tables made from dead trees and he personally selects and harvests the trees he uses for each project. In addition to furniture making, Lane is a cabinet maker and contractor in San Diego county.
